Unusual Complications Of Trichobezoar

Description: 

A case of a moderately large trichobezoar in a 3 year old girl is presented. A rare complication is described: the shaping of the bezoar into a rope-like form which was passed from the stomach to the ileocecal valve where it obstructed the intestine. The historical, etiological, clinical, radiological aspects and treatment are briefly discussed. Photos. Bibliography.
