Elder care initiative program has moved to Zuni.

The goal of the Elder Care Initiative, which in February of 1998 was moved to the Zuni-Ramah Service Unit, is to support the development of high quality services for American Indian and Alaska Native elders by acting as a consultation and liaison resource for IHS, Tribal, and Urban (I/T/U) Programs. The program fosters the development of innovative programs, adapting established models to meet local needs, and disseminating existing successful approaches. There are currently no funds for program development, but the interesting programs that are already in place can be shared and modified as needed.
