Description: 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has developed a new initiative to minimize the spread of HIV infections in the United States. This new initiative, called Advancing HIV Prevention, is informed by recent epidemiological trends in HIV, and research studies about behavioral and medical aspects that relate to HIV transmission. This article addresses the initiative, highlighting the role of health care providers.
