New Mexico tribal report 2002. 1990-1999 New Mexico tribe-specific vital statistics.

Description:

The Office of New Mexico Vital Records and Health Statistics reports data for 23 individual resident tribes. This report is a summary of natality and mortality information for these tribal groups and by the race category American Indian. This reports includes: ten years of data where possible, separate sections for each of the major New Mexico tribal groups (Apache, Navajo, and Pueblo). Because of the low frequencies of vital events for some of the smaller tribes, data are combined into multiple years. When the number of an event is too small to publish, the data for smaller tribes are excluded. Comparisons between American Indians living in New Mexico and the United States as a whole are made in the introduction.
