Obesity prevention in American Indian schoolchildren: Pathways.

This supplement includes an introduction and 12 articles, each separately authored. The articles document the problem of obesity in school-aged American Indians, and present the design and results of the feasibility phase of Pathways, a randomized intervention trial for the primary prevention of obesity. It is a school-based multidisciplinary program that includes physical activity, diet behaviors, classroom curriculum and family involvement.
