Recent updates in the Health Maintenance Reminders section of the PCC Health Summary.

Several changes recently have been completed in the Health Maintenance Reminders section of the Patient Care Component (PCC) Health Summary that should make the reminders more useful to database users. Reminders have been updated to make their default settings consistent with the most recent recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. Also, the defaults now can be modified at each individual PCC site to allow local definitions. Additionally, all of the diabetes-specific reminders for patients with diabetes have been removed from the general Health Reminders section, but retained in the special Diabetes Supplement to the Health Summary. Information on setting site parameters is given as well as a table presenting the Health Reminders in the new version. Computer help contact information is given.
