A study of attrition and malocclusion in the dentition of shell mound Indians of Alabama.

Description:

A considerable amount of attrition of teeth is observed in the skulls of Australian aborigines. Observations were made from twenty-three pairs of dental casts with an average age of 26.2 years. Buccal crown height of teeth, as well as their mesiodistal diameter, was measured with two differently modified Boley gauges.
