The shapes of the Zunis are symmetrical and their carriage is graceful. In 1879, seven albinos were found among the Zunis. A photo of 6 together is included in the full article. Zuni medical practice is to a large extent fetishistic and rich in legitimate drugs. A complicated medical situation or one that does not readily yield to traditional medicine requires a higher power than man to be called upon to eradicate that disease, which must have been caused by witchcraft. Datura is used as an anesthetic. Case studies that are both successful and unsuccessful in treating ailments are included. Excerpts only.
