Description:

Among certain tribes of Mexico, a belief is held that epilepsy is due to the moon's influence and to cure it, take a newborn pig and rub the naked baby with it from head to foot. To cure asthma, take a badger, bake it in the oven until perfectly dry, grind it up, mix on a metate with clean flour and add a stew made of the Rio Grande jackdaw. Season, and give in the moon's first quarter. When the moon ends, the disease will end. Other Mexican folklore remedies comprise the content of this article.
