Tuberculosis Among The Indians Of Arizona And New Mexico.

Description: 

Tuberculosis among the Mojaves causes 95% of deaths; among the Apaches at White River, it causes death in one month. TB is quite prevalent among the Hopis but not prevalent among the Navajos. Among the Apaches at Ft. McDowell, TB has gained a strong hold; of the 7 deaths at Walapai, 6 were from TB. On the Mescalero Apache Reservation, TB is directly responsible for the largest proportion of deaths. TB is rare among Pueblo Indians, and very small at Zuni, but the death rate at Zuni from TB is 100%.
