Insanity Among The Indians

Description: 

One in 2000 Native Americans has a known mental disorder. There are from 15 to 20 epileptics on the Flathead Reservation, the majority of whom present symptoms of mental alienation. Sioux account for the largest number of mentally ill patients in the Great Plains area. Epilepsy is the leading diagnosis in congenital defects.
