Studies in craniometrical variations in American Indians are seriously impeded by the widespread deformation of the crania practiced by some tribes. Because of the deformation, craniometry has not been so useful in determining the relationships of American Indian groups to each other as it has in many other areas. Article has twelve chapters comparing bones and measurements of many tribes. Bibliography.
