Havasupai Ethnography.

Description:

Havasupais have an implicit belief in shamanistic practices, although the ability of a particular shaman may be doubted. "Specialists" among the shamans exist, e.g., a shaman who treats a baby's stomach, a weather shaman, a wound doctor. A few medicinal plants are known, but on the whole internal medication does not appeal to the Havasupai. They prefer shamanistic cures and prayers. Footnotes.
