The Re-Burial Of Chief Ouray

Description: 

Chief Ouray died in the summer of 1880 while visiting the Southern Ute Agencies. His body was secretly buried according to custom. On May 24, 1925, his body was exhumed and placed among those of his people in an Indian cemetery near Montrose.
