Twenty individuals under age 21 were bedridden with pulmonary tuberculosis. In each there was marked underdevelopment of parts of the face and dental arches with gross irregularity of teeth, indicating that all had suffered from interference with normal growth due to nutritional deficiency during infancy and childhood.
