Description:

In a report to the Viceroy dated January 1, 1805, Benitas describes the conditions leading to syphilis. Other prevalent ailments were sciatica, dysentery, pleurisy, tuberculosis, scrofula. Also, letter of transmittal dated 4/27/05 and comment of the Royal Medical Board dated 5/10/05.
