Osteological Evidence Of Disease Amongst The Huron Indians

Description:

There is little historical evidence of the nature of the diseases prevalent among the Hurons. Material surveyed indicated that the Hurons suffered from TB of the spine and also from a curious form of productive arthritis affecting chiefly the vertebral column and having many points of resemblance to ankylosing spondylitis. They also suffered fractures. Sketch. Photos.
