Studies On The helminth Fauna Of Alaska

Description:

Human infection is most likely to occur at times when voles and foxes are abundant, e.g., during the winter when Eskimos open the trapping season. Sled dogs may also comprise an important source of human infection, as can small ponds, other bodies of water, and wind-borne dust. In treating human patients, a favorable prognosis can be made only if there is early diagnosis. Radical resection of the infected hepatic lobe is apparently the only satisfactory treatment at the present time. Map. Line graph. Illegible graphics. Tables. Footnotes.
