Comparison Of Nonacclimatized Americans And Alaskan Eskimos

Description:

On three counts there is no difference between thermoregulation in Eskimos and white people. They all shiver at the same skin temperature, perspire at the same skin temperature. And, their over-all tissue insulation during maximal vasoconstriction, though significantly less than in the control subjects of this study, is what would be predicted for nonacclimatized American males of comparable fat thickness.
