Physical Working Capacity Of Arctic People

Description:

Comparison with Stockholm women reveals a slight superiority in Lapp women. Physical working capacity reaches its peak about the age of 16-18 years, the level remaining almost unchanged to about 45 but then declining with age. In men, physical working capacity reaches its peak close to the age of 20 years. Deterioration with age can be observed at the age of 30. At the age of 70, the maximum oxygen uptake was reduced by 50%. Tables. Line graphs. Bibliography.
