Visions of ghosts and signs, such as a howling dog, are omens of death, and may be followed by loud wails from relatives, even before death occurs. Immediately after death, customs such as hair cutting, cutting legs, removal of clothes begins among relatives. Prescribed traditional methods of burial follow. A man struck by lightning is buried where he fell and in the position in which he died. There is no hereafter for someone who committed suicide.
