Notes Upon Human Crania and Skeletons Collected by the Expeditions of 1872-74

Description: 

A Ute or Paiute grave was opened to reveal the skeletons of a woman and child, the former substantially decayed, the latter somewhat intact. Other skeletons, crania, and miscellaneous bones were uncovered from mounds and rock piles. Some burial places were measured. Measurements of crania mentioned in the article are displayed in a chart that also includes the name of the collector and remarks.
